GAIS have selected a 23-man squad for their away match against Mjällby AIF in the Allsvenskan this Sunday. The team will be without several key players due to injury and suspension.
The club, sitting tenth in the table with 27 points, will be missing defender Oskar Ågren through suspension. Christos Gravius is also unavailable due to injury. Long-term absentees Frosti Þorkelsson, Gustav Lundgren and Kevin Holmén remain out of the travelling party.
Despite the absences, offensive options like top scorer Samuel Salter, who has six goals this season, are included in the squad. Other key players making the trip include Henry Sletsjøe, Robin Wendin Thomasson and August Wängberg. The match against Mjällby presents an opportunity for GAIS to bounce back from two consecutive defeats, most recently against Djurgården.
The game kicks off at 16:30 on Sunday 20 September at Strandvallen in Sölvesborg and will be broadcast on TV4 Play. Away tickets are still available through the club's official channel. GAIS drew 0-0 with Mjällby at home back in April, and a better result this time could provide a boost in the league standings.
