GAIS has announced that their reserve goalkeeper, Kees Sims, is injured and will not be available for the upcoming match against Halmstad on Sunday at Örjans vall. "Kees Sims has a low-grade fracture in his right foot and is sidelined due to safety reasons", states the club's website.

With Andreas Hermansen already out with an injury and in rehabilitation, Gais only has one senior goalkeeper available for the match against Halmstad, forcing them to call up Adin Tihic from their P19 squad. 18-year-old Tihic was brought in from IFK Värnamo during the autumn of 2025 and has not debuted for Gais A-lag yet.

The goalkeeper has experience with Sweden U17 national team, which gives hope that he can contribute positively to the match against Halmstad. "We want to lift Adin Tihic up as a goalkeeper and have high hopes that he can contribute positively to the match", says the club.
